About Karen Brook
Welcome. My name is Karen Brook.
I consider myself a leader, connector, facilitator, motivator and synthesiser, with exceptional organisational and time management skills.
I am an outback girl who is passionate about delivering creative solutions to businesses and organisations in regional and remote Australia and those that engage with it.
At the heart of who I am is an unshakeable belief that the Australian outback is the best place in the world. Growing up in Birdsville in the Diamantina shire I have a very personal connection to the outback and want to share its magic with the rest of the world.
It’s a place that truly touches my soul; the night sky, the birds, wind and dust, no matter where you are from, I believe everyone finds a little bit of themselves in the outback.
I aim to inspire and motivate men and women from all sectors, across urban and rural Australia to work collaboratively in achieving their personal and professional successes.
I have a university degree in Computer Based Art and Design and have worked as a graphic designer, photographer, event coordinator and project manager. This, coupled with my knowledge and experience of working in many regional areas, has given me the ability to understand the communication objectives required by businesses and organisations that operate in multiple locations.
In 2009 I was named as one of 150 Young People Creating Queensland. I have a personal interest in youth development and supporting the younger generation in pursuit of their goals and aspirations.
I was a participant in the 2010/2011 Queensland Leadership Program thanks to a rural scholarship from the Tim Fairfax Family Foundation.
I am equally comfortable in both the city and the bush and I’m not afraid of thinking big or collaborating on ideas and I love to share my unique experiences on the speaking circuit.
If you would like to get in contact I would love to hear from you.
